i love how when i tell other tarot buffs that i don’t have a specific space for tarot reading and i just do them on like. my bed. and i don’t have a tarot cloth and they act so scandalized
you just described my entire method of tarot reading. well except for my whole ‘sometimes I read on my bedroom floor too’ thing.
kittlelittle said: I'm studying Tarot by going one card at a time. Looking up every definition and interpretation, and writing my understanding of it into a journal. That's my approach but I was wondering if you had any tips?
That’s close to what I did! The 2 other things I would suggest are
- If a card meaning reminds you of something, someone or a memory, write that down, too.
- as you do readings, go back through your journal and write in situations that you remember. Like, if the Queen of Wands was particularly memorable in a certain reading, write that down in your journal. My Queen of Wands entry has a story about a time when it came up for me reversed, and I told the person that the cards said she was ‘doing too much at once’; I ended up finding out she had been texting while driving and got into a minor accident because of it.
Hope this helps you on your journey! Oh also thank you for sending your question in, and happy shuffling :)
What an awesome post.
