"There are some things in life that are inevitable and I am one of them, so embrace the positive aspects of the nature of inevitability and what I represent as death. I am the catalyst for you to eliminate the aspects of your life that are outworn and no longer required, which can include bad habits or simply routines that have become restricting in your life. Face up to the inevitable and stop avoiding living life to the full because of your self imposed limitations." - Around the Tarot in 78 Days

The Sorcerer - Interesting Help / True Magic / Consequences
There he is, nestled in the tree roots, listening, thinking, just about to move, and when he does, you may want to duck. Sometimes the most powerful beings appear to be the most insignificant. The Sorcerer is one of those beings. He doesn’t create flashy illusions, and he doesn’t astound with feats of magic, but if you need to call on a powerful being, he is the one to seek out. Approach him with caution. He is really not concerned with the everyday struggles and endeavors of Faerie, let alone the human world. He works for his own ends, but he may help you if it suits his purpose. Think carefully before you ask him for anything. His help could have interesting consequences in the future. It may be best just to nod respectfully and pass on. On the other hand, when he turns up, you may know exactly what you need to ask for. If you have an intuitive flash about why the two of you have come together, then by all means ask your question and see what happens, as long as you are prepared for the consequences.
Notes: It’s not really that big of a surprise that the Death card showed up today, considering what went on yesterday and it actually brings some comfort and relief to see it today. The Death card is probably the card I understand most of all 78 cards. I really got to see how it’s energies played out and affected my life when it was my year card in 2011. It really should be called death & rebirth. The shedding of the old to make way for the new.
As for the Sorcerer, this is the second time in as many days that he’s shown up for me. The first time I decided to just let it pass, bu this time I definitely paid attention. I asked for help and even gifted a present, just to help things along.
I just want to point out, that I don’t necessarily believe in Faerie per se, though that is the theme of this deck, but I do believe in the energy of the cards. If I didn’t believe in the energy or the essence of the cards then I don’t think I would have gotten very far in my tarot journey.
